Talented Bayern Munich youngster Jamal Musiala has signed his first professional contract worth ยฃ4.3m per season that will keep him at the club until 2024.

The midfielder made a name for himself in the Bundesliga since breaking into the Bayern first team at the age of 17. Musiala made his debut on the penultimate weekend of 2019/20, giving a glimpse into what he has to offer. He has gone on to make 17 Bundesliga appearance this season, scoring three goals, and helping Bayern land an historic sextuple.

“We are very happy that Jamal signed his first contract and it was a long-term one for Bayern,” the club’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic said in a statement.

“Now we have to make sure Jamal develops and is challenged.”

After signing his new contract, Musiala was thankful to Hansi Flick and the others at the club for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to become a key member of Bayern’s team.

โ€œIโ€™m really pleased to have signed my first professional contract at FC Bayern. I just feel very good at the club and in the team, Iโ€™m playing with the best players in the world and I can learn from them every day in training,โ€ said Musiala.

โ€œHansi Flick, Hasan Salihamidzic and Marco Neppe along with the whole club have believed in me and given me the chance very early on. I just want to repay that faith with good performances, keep getting better and win a lot more titles with FC Bayern. My aim is to become an important player for this club.โ€
