Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel could reportedly be sent out on loan to either AS Monaco or Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
With Manuel Neuer dominating the number one position, Nubel has found playing time hard to come by. According to Kicker and talkSPORT, Monaco and Tottenham are interested in signing 24-year-old, who has played just two games for Bayern this season – against Atletico Madrid in a Champions League dead-rubber and third-tier Duren in the DFB Pokal.
Speaking about his client’s difficult situation, Nubel’s agent, Stefan Backs, said: “This situation is unsatisfactory. You have to think about a loan in the summer when Alex no longer comes to play.”
Tottenham were linked with a move for Nubel before his switch to Bayern, and could be at the front of the queue again if he is allowed to leave Bavaria.
AS Monaco are another club that have shown interest in bringing Nubel on in the summer on a loan deal. Niko Kovac’s side are fourth on the league table, and Nubel might get more playing time with the Ligue 1 side, given the number of competitions they compete in.
