Bayern Munich are reportedly close to signing Reading defender Omar Richards on a four-year deal ahead of the summer transfer window.
Hansi Flick’s side have been linked with the 23-year-old for a long time, and according to Sky Sports Germany, they have ‘agreed’ terms with Richards.
The Reading defender has quickly become one of the most sought-after players of late, and his performances have been crucial in helping the club maintain their bid for a return to Premier League football.

But if reports are to be believed, Richards will play football for Bayern next season having already completed a medical for the European champions in the UK.
The report claims that Flick’s side had been negotiating with the player for over three months, and wanted to find a solution quick – with his current contract expiring in June and a number of other clubs vying for his signature.
The Daily Mail revealed that talks between the two parties began in January after Richards was allowed to speak with clubs outside the Championship over a potential summer move.
Richards will provide backup and compete with Alphonso Davies for the left-back position after the Canadian international made the position his own last season. He could also play in front of an advanced midfield role on the left side, having impressed on the left for Reading in the Championship this season.
