It appears that the league leaders have yet again had a player test positive for the virus.
Bayern Munich has yet another case of COVID-19 in their camp, according to Sky Sports, that player is right-back Benjamin Pavard.
Now there is not a good or bad time to get the virus, but it is especially inconvenient for Pavard. After having a rather turbulent time to start the season, it appeared that he was slowly starting to turn his form around with some decent performances.

Back-up Bouna Sarr has been less than impressive when his number has been called so it could leave Hansi Flick a little short on options throughout the next few matches.
It is a stumble of sorts for Pavard after he was getting back to his great form of last year. Although no official reports are coming out of Bayern Munich just yet, with Sky Sports reporting it, they are generally on the mark with their information, so it is increasingly likely that the report is true.
In any case, Bayern boss Hansi Flick now has to shuffle the pack as he needs to find out who can replace Pavard. As we mentioned earlier, Sarr has been out of his depth so far and Flick can ill-afford a weak link as the fixtures pile up. It might mean that Mr. Dependable Joshua Kimmich would switch to right-back, but then that could leave Bayern short in the middle of the park.
The only sensible option would be to have Niklas Sule as he has shown in the past that he is more than capable of filling in on the right side of the backline.
