League leaders Bayern Munich will face off against Hoffenheim on Saturday with the hosts looking to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
Hansi Flick’s side will be out for revenge after Hoffenheim soundly beat them 4-1 in the corresponding fixture in September.
Injuries were somewhat to blame for Sebastian Hoeness’s side after some indifferent results, but they appear to be on the road to recovery after improved outings. His side finished sixth in the league last season and has not put a foot wrong in their Europa League group, so they are definitely on the improve under Hoeness.
The absence of Andrej Kramaric was the main reason for Hoffenheim’s poor form but with the forward now returning, he has four goals in two matches.
Hansi Flick will be without Corentin Tolisso and Tanguy Nianzou because of injury while both Javi Martinez and Leon Goretzka are out after contracting Covid.
Goretzka and Martínez are self isolating at home after testing positive for coronavirus.

Other than that, Bayern is at full strength for the clash.
Hoeness will still be without Kostas Stafylidis, Benjamin Hubner, and Ermin Bicakcic.
The match with the league leaders will arrive too soon for a host of players including Kevin Akpoguma, Dennis Geiger, Robert Skov, and Florian Grillitsch, however, all should return to full training by next week.
Bayern potential lineup: Neuer; Pavard, Boateng, Sule, Davies; Kimmich, Alaba; Gnabry, Muller, Coman; Lewandowski
Hansi Flick’s side will be out to avenge their 4-1 loss to Hoffenheim and being at home they will be odds on to extend their lead at the top of the table. With the side seemingly getting a handle on their defensive issues, Bayern should be able to see off Hoffenheim but must be wary of the threat the visitors pose.
Predicted scoreline: Bayern 3-1 Hoffenheim
