Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed on a deal with Parma for Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee. The deal should be officially announced in “a few hours”.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Parma have reached a verbal agreement to sign Zirkzee as Everton misses out. The loan deal has an option (not an obligation) to buy the player for 15m euros at the end of the season.

Zirkzee will be a starter for the Serie A club, and also get the much-needed minutes he needs to further his development. Roberto D’Aversa’s side have scored just 13 goals in 17 games so far, and Zirkzee’s addition could help the Italian outfit to solve some of their final third issues.

Everton were keen on landing the 19-year-old, with Carlo Ancelotti looking to boost his attacking options. He was also looking to bring in a player, preferably Zirkzee, who provide cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison.

However, according to Sky Sports reporter Max Bielefeld, the Merseysiders were finding the proposed deal a little hard to do, financially. And Parma seemed to have capitalised on Everton’s delay.

The deal with Parma remains to be signed and made official now.
