Manchester United are reportedly back in the market for Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
The Red Devils were linked with the 26-year-old during the summer, but Bayern weren’t keen on parting ways with the Frenchman.
However, according to recent reports, Hansi Flick’s side might be open to the sale at the end of this season.
And BILD claim United are back in the race for Tolisson, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
The midfielder’s contract is up in 2022, and Bayern would prefer selling him this year, rather than risk losing him for free when his deal expires.
Tolisso joined Bayern from Lyon in the summer of 2017, but multiple injuries have scuppered any hopes of a permanent starting place.
Till date, he has made 90 appearances across competitions, scoring 17 goals, and providing 12 assists. But he failed to reach his true potential due to fitness issues constantly pegging him back.
Selling Tolisso could raise funds for other transfers
One huge advantage of getting multiple players off the books is that Bayern will be able to free up wages, and use those to bring in players in the summer.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected clubs globally, and the Bundesliga giants haven’t been immune to its financial impact.
An older report by BILD claims Bayern could be open to selling Tolisso if that meant they could fund a move for Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus.
Flick’s side have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old, who has a €40million release clause.
Along with Bayern, Real Madrid are also reportedly keeping an eye on the Monchengladbach player. Neuhaus made a strong impression in the Champions League against Madrid, and is also on the wish list of Zinedine Zidane.
