Bayern Munich have not kept a clean sheet since December 9, and statistics have revealed two players who are most responsible for goals conceded of late.

Since the 2-0 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow, Bayern have conceded 21 goals in a span of 10 Bundesliga and five Champions League games.

German outlet BILD has put together damning statistics that point out which players are at fault for Bayern’s abysmal defensive performances.

Alaba-Boateng responsible for EIGHT goals

BILD analysed David Alaba and Jerome Boateng were at fault for eight of the 21 goals conceded, while Niklas Sule, Benjamin Pavard, Bouna Sarr, Lucas Hernandez, and Javi Martinez all followed.

The full list of BILD’s findings:

  • Alaba (4), Boateng (4)
  • Sule (3), Pavard (3)
  • Miller (2), Sané (2), Lewandowski (2)
  • Davies (1), Kimmich (1), Sarr (1), Hernandez (1), Goretzka (1), Martinez (1), Neuer (1), Arrey-Mbi (1)

What’s interesting is that attacking trio Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane, and Robert Lewandowski have all conceded two goals each.

In Bayern Munich’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach, Manuel Neuer set an unwanted record – For the first time in his career, the 34-year-old has gone 10 games in the Bundesliga without keeping a clean sheet.

Issues for the defending champions continue to mount as they were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal earlier this week. Bayern twice gave up a lead and went on to lose 6-5 on penalties to second-tier Holstein Kiel on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, Hansi Flick admitted that Bayern have a lot of work to do. He said: “I didn’t need that either, but we have to live with it.

“There are no more excuses that there are a lot of games and that we are tired. We have to make sure that we get more pull on the opposing goal again. We have a lot to do.”
