Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is slated to speak at the Dubai International Sports Conference which will be held on Dec. 27 in Dubai, UAE.
The conference has been organised by the DSC under the theme “Football at the Summit”, and will feature a number of high-profile stakeholders from the world of football.
This will be the first time Lewandowski will make an appearance at the event. The FIFA Best Men’s Player will be one of the star attractions at the conference, following a sensational 2019-20 season with Bayern which saw him score a staggering 55 goals in just 47 appearances.
His goals were instrumental in helping Hansi Flick’s side win the treble last season, and he finished top scorer in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, and the Champions League.
The 32-year-old was named European Player of the Year earlier in October, and beat Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as he was named FIFA Men’s Player of the Year last week. Lewandowski became the first Polish player or a player from a German club to win the FIFA Player of the Year award since its inception in 1991.
Lewandowski is also only the third player to win the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award who is from outside the LaLiga this century – the other two being Zinedine Zidane (Juventus in 2000) and Kaka (Milan in 2007).
The Pole is also a strong candidate to win the Player of the Year title at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, where he is competing for the honours with Ronaldo and Messi again.
