Despite his impressive form in Bayern Munich colors, there is no movement on giving Kingsley Coman a deserved contract extension. However, he remains an irreproachable topic in the transfer market.

Coman is held in high regard at the Allianz Arena but his contract is running out in June 2023. Bayern will have a tough time in keeping hold of him as there is interest from European powerhouses in the services of the Champions League final’s scorer.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge shared that the Bavarian giants are not looking to give a contract extension to Coman right now but will deal with it later. However, he gave a stern warning for anyone interested in his services.  Rummenigge hailed the Frenchman is ‘extremely valuable’ for Bayern Munich and ‘not for sale’.

“We will deal with a possible extension at the appropriate time,” the Bayern CEO said. “Kingsley is not for sale.”

“He is an absolute top player today, extremely valuable for Bayern. He often makes the difference, especially when it matters.”

It is a remarkable turnaround for a player, who was looking to bring down curtains on his career at 22. Successive injuries made Coman think about putting up his boots but was made to change his mind. Rummenigge was one of those individuals, who reinforced in his that injuries are setbacks that are part of playing professionally.

The conversation with the Bayern supremo worked and now Coman is the reference point in the Allianz Arena dressing room. Hansi Flick hailed his performances and hopes the likes of Sane and Gnabry start following his lead.
