Bayern Munich take on the challenge of Lokomotiv Moscow at the Allianz Arena. The record German champions do not have the luxury of their first-team personnel with a bloated injury list.

After their 3-3 thriller with RB Leipzig, Javi Martinez and Jerome Boateng became the latest additions in the medic’s quarters. It has severely handicapped Hansi Flick’s options for their final Champions League group game.

At the moment, the treble-winning manager is severely shorthanded with squad personnel. Flick is looking to partner Leon Goretzka with Marc Roca, while Angelo Stiller and Maxi Zaiser are also under consideration.

When quizzed about his squad strength, the Bayern tactician shared he is only taking into stock players who are available for selection. He did reveal that Corentin Tolisso is on his path to recovery and will follow Joshua Kimmich’s lead.

“We have players and will probably play with two sixs. We have Marc Roca next to Leon Goretzka. Then we have Angelo Stiller and Maxi Zaiser,” Flick stated.

“I give little thought to the players who are gone. Tolisso trained well today and I think he can be there with a view to Saturday. But we also have to look at him from day-to-day. Just like with Joshua Kimmich.”

Bayern Munich have already qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 as group leaders.
